Our outreach workers help unhoused clients in central downtown and adjacent areas by:

  • Helping them locate shelter.
  • Accessing resources through our day center.
  • Offering transportation.
  • Navigating social services.
  • Connecting with medical care.
  • Recovering their IDs.
  • Applying for different housing options.

Our licensed social worker leads a team of outreach specialists with lived experience to build personal and professional connections with people in need.

The team also works alongside the Centro  “Quality of Life Ambassadors” who continuously walk the downtown area and assist people who appear to need assistance. Together we are caring for the needs of our unsheltered neighbors and creating a beautiful, welcoming, and safe downtown for all.

Our downtown street outreach team is a partnership with Centro San Antonio and The City of San Antonio (DHS).
