Haven for Hope's Intake Department is temporarily closed to new clients. This is an important and necessary step to protect the health and safety of the 1,700 men, women, and children who currently call Haven for Hope home, as well as that of 300+ Haven and partner staff to continue to provide essential on-campus services.

Special notice to former Courtyard Guests: If you have received services in the Courtyard within the past 30 days, your enrollment is still open and you are welcome to return for services. We are fully staffed and providing our normal services, including shelter, meals, medical, counseling, employment, housing, showers, laundry, etc. As usual, Courtyard Guests can come and go during the day, but there is a 7pm campus-wide curfew. We are trying our best to practice social distancing for sleeping, mealtime, waiting in lines and mingling.

Our main phone line (210-220-2100) is open to assist with referrals.

As best we can, we also will continue to provide or find shelter for families on an as-needed basis.

Working with approximately 184 partner organizations, the Transformational Campus provides a variety of services including, but not limited to: case management, job training and employment readiness, education assistance, behavioral health, substance abuse treatment, meals, spiritual services, and others aimed at helping individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness gain stability. Participation in case management is required. Space on the Transformational Campus is limited and there is no guarantee we will have an immediately available bed.
Must have proof of residency of at least 9 months in Bexar County. Must be 18 years or older or accompanied by a legal guardian. Must have valid government issued ID. Must be drug and alcohol free. Cannot be a registered sex offender.
All services are at no cost to Haven clients.

The HCV program (also known as Section 8) is the government’s primary program to assist income-eligible households with the opportunity to afford decent, safe and sanitary housing. The Housing Authority of Bexar County (HABC) is the public housing agency that administers the Housing Choice Voucher program in Bexar County, and adherence to HUD regulations.
Eligibility is determined based on the total annual income and family size of the household. Annual income cannot exceed 50% of the area median income for Bexar County. Family assets are also taken into consideration when determining eligibility.

Under the Public Housing Program from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Bexar County Housing Authority manages 30 single-family dwellings located throughout the County of Bexar. These dwellings consist of 3 and 4 bedrooms. Rents are based on 30% of the family’s monthly- adjusted income. The Public Housing/Scattered Site waiting list is currently CLOSED. San Antonio Alternative Housing Corporation (SAAHC) provides decent rental and ownership housing that is affordable to low- and moderate-income households.

Located at The Summit facility, Crosspoint’s Veterans program provides transitional residential rehabilitation and case management services. This 3- to 6-month program provides comfortable, structured transitional housing to homeless Veterans and includes a needs assessment individual program planning and structured programming such as life skills classes, self-help support groups and individual counseling. All services are coordinated with social work staff from the Department of Veterans Affairs. The program offers Veterans a chance to reestablish stable, permanent housing, a healthy, independent lifestyle through opportunities to obtain medical and behavioral health treatment, secure a stable source of income, develop a savings plan and arrange a stable residence.

This also includes the continued closure of our Free To Be Day Activity Program at our southside campus and all programs at Unicorn Centers. This is subject to change based on evolving recommendations from health officials. Residents may communicate through video chat, email, and phone calls Residents who leave for a home visit are required to stay for 14 days and must be without symptoms upon their return. Program / case managers are available for information and assistance.

Children in our Custodial Residential Care program have been removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect or exploitation and are placed with Mission Road by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. The children depend upon our highly trained staff to provide the support that enables them to achieve their full potential. Many of the children have physical disabilities and challenging behaviors, along with emotional scars. At Mission Road, the children find a new, safe and predictable home staffed by trained, loving and professional caregivers. Our children thrive and progress in a safe, happy family setting in which all their needs are met--and then some!
