Physical distance can make us feel isolated. CBF now offers a bi-weekly opportunity for you to connect with your CBF family through a video program called CBF Gathering. The program will include music, a devotional and prayer led by members of the CBF community and important words and resources from CBF field personnel, chaplains and pastoral counselors and others carrying out essential ministry in new and faithful ways in these days.
Improving the lives of families and communities most in need through collaborations based on relationship, partnerships that are engaged, and services activated across networks between the San Antonio faith community, government agencies, non-profit organizations and community groups.
Sends monthly Action Alerts detailing urgent needs and how you can help immediately. Text Compassion to 55000 to opt in.

One of our flagship programs started in 1999 at our Travis Park Location! Each Wednesday Evening at 6:00 PM we host a prayer and recovery circle for our clients and volunteers. Led by Phil Watkins and Katherine Paredes. This group modifies the 12-step programs and allows clients to share, receive positive feedback and pray for the community.
Dinner is served after The Circle. All spiritual views are honored and respected at the Circle.
All are truly welcome at Travis Park Church!
Unconditional love and justice in action. Travis Park’s commitment to justice means our congregation strives to remove political, cultural, and societal barriers both in the church and community that prevent people from being who God created them to be. This commitment is not based on anybody’s idea of political correctness but on the actions and teachings of Jesus. The closer our lives mirror his life, the more available we are to experience and become God’s new creation.
Travis Park Church is affiliated with the Reconciling Ministries Network, a group of congregations and groups worldwide which have adopted statements welcoming people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
The church provides free emergency food, clothing, counseling and prayer to those in need, including seniors, the disabled, and low income families with children. Supports all of Bexar County.

Male and female Stephen Ministers are paired with male and female Care Receivers respectively. Confidentiality is key to the ministry. Stephen Ministers receive support through supervision, continuing education, and coaching on a monthly basis.
Stephen Ministry is open to the public; church membership is not required.

Heart 2 Heart is a ministry of San Antonio’s First Baptist Church and was founded on two simple principles:
- We all experience brokenness sometime in our life; and
- There is healing in God’s Word.
Divorce Care
Will anyone accept you after divorce? This group will. Take steps toward courage and wholeness with those who know how deeply divorce can cut.
Considering Forgiveness
Does forgiveness mean excusing harmful behavior? Is forgiveness necessary? Explore these difficult questions in a group that won't insult your dignity by minimizing or downplaying the hurt you have known.
Grief Share
Grief is a burden too heavy for anyone’s shoulders to bear alone. In this fellowship, you’ll find a group that stands by one another when the loss you’ve known bends you to the ground.
Men's Freedom Group
(meets year-round on Tuesdays)
We are a Christ-centered, 12 step self-help group providing a safe and confidential setting (apart from other H2H groups) for men recovering from sexual addiction. Our goal is to provide you with the support of fellow recovery travelers with once-weekly meetings year-round.
Journey to Restoration
This caring ministry creates a safe space for those who during childhood were abused, sexually, physically, emotionally, verbally or by neglect.
All groups are open to the community. You do not need to be a member of the church.

The Cursillo Movement is designed to help individuals become agents for change in our community by bringing Jesus Christ into every aspect of one’s life. The Cursillo experience begins with a three-day weekend retreat that is offered both in English and Spanish. Inspirational talks are given by the clergy and laypeople. After a Cursillo weekend, one joins a weekly fellowship group of other members of our community who have experienced the weekend and who now want to share their journey and Christian faith.

At The Salvation Army, all hands are on deck to do what we do every day of the year—meet the needs of our community’s most vulnerable people.
We all know that social distancing is the best way to flatten the curve, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. We want to help you. Here’s how:
- Social Distancing: If you have needs for groceries or other household items, please contact us. We will direct you to the nearest resource location that can meet your needs.
- Prayer Requests: We desire to lift you and your family up in prayer. We have a team of people committed to praying for you. Please give us your prayer requests and know that we will pray for you consistently during this time.
- Life Navigation Needs: If you are in crisis and need housing, rehabilitation or other emergency services, we can connect you with a resource that can help you.
- Spiritual and Emotional Care: If you need someone to talk to, let us know! Drop us a line, and we will have a caring friend call you to share a few words of encouragement.
- Activities to Do at Home: Here are a few activities to help you pass the time while at home. We hope these activities can create some happy memories and that we can be a part of bringing your family closer together.
