Interspiritual Equine-Assisted Learning (IEAL)

Our Horses for Peace (H4P) program provides a safe, compassionate environment for the development of inter-spiritual understanding through equine-assisted learning (EAL).

It is especially committed to making a profound difference in the lives of those displaced or otherwise affected by war and is based upon a philosophy of compassion and respect for people of all faith traditions. 

What do we do?

We use horses temperamentally suited to gentle human/horse interaction to provide a safe, nurturing environment in which people of different faith traditions can interact with them, either one-on-one or in small inter-spiritual groups.

All interactions take place with a certified EAL horse professional and an ordained minister present.

Sophia Wisdom Circles are a safe, inter-spiritual space for women to gather from across different faith traditions (or no faith tradition) and are founded on the concept that women working together can promote peace. 

They are made up of women who want to meditate together, to extend a hand of peace across faith barriers, and to share wisdom from each others' traditions.

Circles can be gathered in person or online.

A Sophia Wisdom Circle usually:

• Is facilitated by two women from different faith traditions (including no faith tradition)
• Meets once a month
• Meets for one hour
• Meditates silently together for between 5-20 Minutes
• Shares and discusses a wisdom text brought by a different person each month
• Shares insights into contemplative practices from different traditions 
• Are free to leave after one hour, but are welcome to stay longer if desired
