The Counseling program at the Veterans One Stop aims to treat the complex issues related to a veteran's past service. Issues such as PTSD, Moral Injury, Depression, Anxiety, and Military Sexual Trauma are addressed by licensed professional counselors utilizing evidence-based treatments. In addition to professional counseling services, Veterans One Stop also recognizes the importance of using Peer-to-peer support as a fundamental element in the healing process. These services are provided to the veteran as well as their dependents. It has been proven that to treat the veteran effectively, one must also address the needs and issues of the family unit.

Regardless of discharge status, we provide free mental health services for veterans and their families. Our therapists are trained to provide EMDR, CPT, CBT, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Art Therapy.

No one wades a stream without getting wet, and no one comes back from war unchanged. This is a toughening process for some people – a self-awareness generation engine. The efforts of our troops may produce internal struggles, but those efforts also produce tested, accomplished people.

Sometimes, people need a hand in slowing the internal disquiet and conflict that combat, deployment, military sexual trauma, or other abnormal situations produce. No one is better prepared to speak with a Veteran about her experiences than another Veteran, a peer.

With the peer-to-peer network, veterans go through a training course that teaches them how to facilitate groups of veterans. Once trained, they go out into their local communities and create peer groups. Because members of the group set the rules, no two peer groups are the same."- www.milvetpeer.net

We offer basic training for peers to establish a basic understanding of the MVPN network.

Additional training is provided to peers throughout the year. Our groups meet with peers with similar experiences and struggles in a safe, comfortable space. These groups are led by trained group facilitators who are advanced enough in their recovery journey to help you navigate your recovery with coping skills and confidence.

Our staff, volunteers, and partner organizations are here to make sure you get connected to the resources you need. We also have community events yearly to promote camaraderie, awareness, and fun. We can't wait for you to join us!
