MRDC provides in-home and family support services to children and adults with IDD who choose to remain in their own homes. Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) and other Medicaid waiver programs ensure each individual's welfare in the community and help to prevent or delay people from being placed into institutions.

A team of professionals and family members develop a plan with the individual seeking services to identify the goals and services that a person needs to continue to live in their own home. In this program, MRDC employs paid staff (PAS/HAB) who visit an individual’s home according to the individual’s treatment plan to provide services.

Typically, these services are rendered for a few hours each week.
