A Fisher House is "a home away from home" for families of patients receiving medical care at major military and VA medical centers. The homes are normally located within walking distance of the treatment facility or have transportation available.
Fisher Houses have up to 21 suites, with private bedrooms and baths. Families share a common kitchen, laundry facilities, a warm dining room, and an inviting living room.
If you or someone you love is receiving care at a VA or military medical center, check the list of Current Houses to see if there is a Fisher House that can help.
There is never a charge to stay at a Fisher House.
All lodging fees for guest families at this house are paid through a grant from Fisher House Foundation.
Fisher Houses are set up to encourage a sense of community while giving private respite to tired families.
All applications must go through your medical case worker. Contact your case worker to fill out an application. Submission of your application does not guarantee you a room. As stated on the application, we highly encourage you to make other arrangements should the houses be full during your requested dates.
