My counseling specialty is Women's Issues.

Exploring female experiences across the lifespan brings a perspective that is often overlooked or down-played. Whether a hormonal issue is contributing to life stress such as PMS, fertility, pregnancy and postpartum adjustments, or perimenopause and menopausal transitions or societal expectations such as work/life balance, perfectionism, being that "Good Mom" or feelings of never quite doing it right or being good enough, guilt, and shame, together we can "figure it out".

We can explore and problem solve together. Quite amazing how just listening, talking, connecting, and yes - even laughing - about the hurts, stresses, and absurdities of life can be so refreshing and healing.

My practice has two main components: Counseling women over age 23, and educational development for counseling professionals.

Not sure what is going on or know exactly what's up?

Either way - let's talk and see if we are a good fit. That's what we do as people and that's how I roll as a counselor. My home page has a list of where I "fit" best, but I am a great believer in building connections, so I will not waste your time if I know an awesome colleague that I think will be a better fit for you. I call this part of finding a good therapist "following the breadcrumbs" and part of the process.

Please email [email protected] to schedule an initial appointment.

My practice has two main components: Counseling women over age 23, and educational development for counseling professionals.

Please note, I do not provide services for children, adolescents, males, couples, or families. This includes young adults living at home with parents (younger than 23). I believe this often leads to family dynamics better served by a family therapist.

LPC Supervision for LPC Interns:

I currently offer private clinical supervision in accordance with Texas state licensing board requirements (off-site).

I do not employ Interns in my practice but will mentor those interested in having a private practice upon full licensure as part of clinical supervision.

I only provide clinical supervision for supervisees who work with adults in individual or group counseling modalities (not children, adolescents, couples, or family).

Clinical supervision includes

24/7 coverage of the temporary license with my full license (i.e., whenever an LPC Intern is working as a counselor). In other words, I carry limited liability for the practice of LPC Interns that I supervise.

Therefore, I do require strict adherence to meeting weekly (I offer web-cam supervision as an option for weekly face-to-face meetings, although no more than half of all supervision meetings may be in this format).

I have authored a helpful one-page guide to finding a supervisor available at LPCReview.com.

For a summary of my theoretical lens of practice, please visit my Professional Philosophy page.

The monthly charge for my clinical supervision services is $300 per month.
