We are the Survivors of Loved Ones' Suicides, a peer-led, non-denominational support group located in San Antonio, Texas. We're dedicated to helping each other and ourselves work through the emotional turmoil caused by the death of a loved one, friend, or associate to suicide.
More than 44,000 people are lost each year to suicide in the United States. Countless thousands more are left behind to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives while trying to cope with the tragic loss of a loved one to suicide. This is where SOLOS can help.
SOLOS is not a suicide hotline or crisis intervention organization. If you're suicidal or know someone who is, please call 911 or the National Suicide Hotline at 1-800-273-8255 (TALK).
Healing hearts and overcoming loss is a lengthy and often painful process. While we can't endorse any particular book, group, or website, the members of SOLOS have benefited from many resources and offer this consolidated list to help you on your grief journey.
