The Baylor Psychology Center (BPC) was established in 2005 as a part of the doctoral program in clinical psychology at the Baylor University. Currently, the BPC is a training, research, and service unit of the American Psychological Association accredited doctoral training program in Clinical Psychology of the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience, Baylor University.

We are located in the Baylor Tower at 8th and Washington in downtown Waco. Reserved parking is available on the third level "C" of the parking garage located behind the building at 8th and Columbus.

Prospective clients are invited to complete a no-cost phone intake to determine whether BPC services are the best fit for the identified mental health concerns.

After completing a telephone intake interview, clients are placed on a waiting list for assignment to the next available clinician. Waiting times vary dependent upon clinician and supervisor availability.

Counseling services are provided on a sliding scale fee based on income that ranges from $5.00 - $35.00 per session.

Allegiance Mental Health & Wellness Services offers specialized Child &  Adolescent Therapy for children and teens who are struggling with mental health challenges.
Specifically, our goal is to provide a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment where they can express themselves, gain coping skills, and work through their challenges.

Furthermore, any child or teenager who is experiencing mental health challenges can benefit from Child & Adolescent Therapy. This can include, but is not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma, anger management, behavioral issues, and difficulties adjusting to life changes such as divorce or relocation. Therefore, our therapists work with each child and teenager to develop an individualized treatment plan that is tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Mental Illness and Bullying: How Are They Related?

Bullying can have a profound impact on a child’s mental health. As a result, it can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. In some cases, bullying can even lead to suicidal ideation.

Therefore, our therapists work with children and teenagers who have experienced bullying to help them build resilience and cope with the trauma they have experienced.

Moreover, children and teenagers are not immune to mental health challenges, and these challenges can have a significant impact on their daily lives. However, Child Adolescent Therapy can help children and teens develop resilience, coping skills, and self-esteem.

Ultimately, this can lead to improved academic performance, better relationships, and a happier and healthier life overall.

How Allegiance Mental Health & Wellness Services Can Help?

At Allegiance Mental Health & Wellness Services, our Child Adolescent Therapy services are designed to be personalized to the needs of each child and teenager.

Furthermore, our licensed therapists are trained to use a range of evidence-based techniques to support children and teenagers in their mental health journey. Additionally, we offer a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment where children and teenagers can feel heard and validated.
