Early Head Start Child Care Partnership is a new opportunity to support the partnering of Early Head Start Programs with Child Care Providers to expand the number of quality slots for infants and toddlers in San Antonio. Through partnership, Early Head Start grantees partner with center-based and family child care providers who agree to meet Early Head Start Program Performance Standards and Regulations and provide high-quality comprehensive, full-day, full-year services to infants and toddlers from low-income families.

The program provides early, continuous, intensive, and comprehensive child development and family support services that enhance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of participating children. In addition, services provide young children ages birth to 36 months, with an array of comprehensive services including health, nutritional, behavioral, and family services.

These community building activities are special opportunities for children to worship and grow in faith.

Music and Movement: Ongoing research proves that early exposure to music helps children think, reason, create, and express themselves. Our musical experiences offer children exposure which stimulates and supports musical growth and motor development. Learning never sounded so good!

Sign Language: Teaching sign language improves cognitive and emotional development. We introduce sign language as an element of curriculum for each age group. This opportunity increases the rate of verbal development and has implications on future academic achievement.

Food and Nutrition Program: We know that proper nutrition promotes learning readiness and reinforces positive eating habits that can last a lifetime. We are committed to serving nutritious food in a positive, health-conscious environment. We offer well balanced meals for every child! Our Food Manager and Certified cooks prepare and serve healthy nutritious meals within the guidelines of the CACFP Food Program.

Summer Program: For 5 to 12 year olds enrolled in school, field trips, water play activities, STEM, Arts and Crafts, Literacy, Theater, recreational activities, team-building activities, chapel services, and leadership development for a fun filled and educational experience.

The Country Home Excel Program is accredited by AdvancED and aligned with state standards for public school kindergarten. The MHBC Mother's Day Out program was started in 1979 and provides a well-rounded preschool program for your child in a safe, loving, Christ-centered environment.

Our classes range in age from 4 months to Pre-K. Beginning with our youngest class, we believe that each child is teachable, a sponge waiting to absorb life's truths. Each class curriculum consists of age appropriate preschool skills. Children learn the alphabet, numbers, colors, and shapes.

Our staff members are Christian teachers with a wide range of experience to help your child grow and be challenged.  Christ is the center of our program. Since our students have lots of planned activities, we know communication with our parents is important. Age-specific monthly Highlights showcase selected weekly curriculum activities. School-wide monthly newsletters notify parents of special events and other important information. Regularly scheduled parent/teacher conferences focusing on our age-specific Developmental Checklists help recognize and celebrate each child’s accomplishments. Our annual holiday Open House brings school and families together for a very special evening!

Our comprehensive and AdvancED accredited, theme-based Preschool curriculum focuses on providing a solid educational foundation for our young students. We keep our class groups small in order to promote individualized care and education. Country Home’s extremely popular Summer Camp program includes all of our regular activities, our Kids’ Choice Special Interest Clubs, regularly scheduled field trips to swimming, skating, bowling, and movies, as well as special field trips to a wide variety of exciting local destinations. Our highly successful, reward-based Reading Program encourages academic exercises throughout the summer, while our wonderful facility allows us to explore various themed rooms (specialized areas listed below).

We take great pride in offering both a safe and exciting educational environment in an incredible state-of-the-art facility! We know that our Toddlers have newfound mobility and unlimited curiosity. Our Toddler classrooms are carefully designed to provide a secure environment that is rich with new challenges and filled with colorful, age-appropriate toys and equipment for hands-on fun!

Daily communication with our parents is very important for a smooth transition between school and home. Our teachers also make sure to communicate with you regarding your child’s experiences by providing a daily report for each child with all the details you need to know! It includes the basics such as your child’s eating, diapering and sleeping schedule, along with fun and informative details regarding his or her activities for the day.

Our staff utilizes the AdvancED accredited, theme-based Country Home curriculum developed exclusively for this age group and designed to meet your child’s educational needs. We also incorporate an abundance of classroom and facility resources to ensure the advancement of language development, as well as the physical, cognitive and social development of our students. At Country Home, we have low student-to-teacher ratios so we can provide each child with lots of individual attention!

The Practice Learning All Year (PLAY) After School Program provides a safe, fun environment for children to learn, play, and grow under the supervision of Southwest ISD-certified teachers. Children will be able to access:

• Tutoring

• Outdoor Organized Activities
• Wellness Activities
• Healthy Snack

Grades: Pre-K 4 to 5th grade.

The student must be enrolled and attending face-to-face learning at the school/program site to be eligible to participate. Registration is ongoing throughout the academic school year, but enrollment is limited. 

A copy of one of the following documents is needed:

• Latest Income Tax Return
• Public Assistance Letter or Card (TANF, Medicaid, CHIP, or SSI)

There is a one-time program fee per academic school year based on family size, income, and the number of students per family participating.

The program fee must be paid before a student can participate.

Flexible payment plans are available for those who qualify.

Early Head Start Child Care Partnership is a new opportunity to support the partnering of Early Head Start Programs with Child Care Providers to expand the number of quality slots for infants and toddlers in San Antonio. Through partnership, Early Head Start grantees partner with center-based and family child care providers who agree to meet Early Head Start Program Performance Standards and Regulations and provide high-quality comprehensive, full-day, full-year services to infants and toddlers from low-income families.

The program provides early, continuous, intensive, and comprehensive child development and family support services that enhance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of participating children. In addition, services provide young children ages birth to 36 months, with an array of comprehensive services including health, nutritional, behavioral, and family services.

The Kids' Involvement Network (KIN) provides afterschool enrichment activities and supervision for elementary and middle school students in a way that will improve their attitudes, grades, and behavior so they will be positive members of the school and community.

KIN Daily Schedule
KIN begins as soon as school dismisses. The schedule consists of a healthy snack, socialization, and recreational activities such as recess, group sports, and health and wellness programming. Homework time is a main focus of our programs and is structured to assist students in a way that will benefit all learning styles. Enrichment activities are conducted every day to enhance learning. KIN closes at 6:30 p.m. at every site.
