The vision of Discovery Church is to be a place where each person is loved, transformed, and equipped.
Through age-appropriate and practical teaching, powerful times of worship, authentic relationships, and a heart for those in need of the life-changing message of Jesus Christ, we want to make a positive and lasting impact on the world around us.
We believe the bible is for us today. At Discovery we use a modern-day translation and speak in simple terms that are easy to understand. We also use media, music, and non-traditional methods to communicate biblical truths which bring life-changing results when applied.
Regardless of church background (or a lack of one), people who attend Discovery Church hear a message of hope through Jesus Christ.
Each student is paired with a Champion who will mentor, hold the student accountable, and celebrate their wins with them.
The curriculum covers the purpose of work, character development in areas like teamwork and conflict resolution, as well as resume building, interview skills, and more.
Graduates are encouraged to use JfL's network of businesses for interviews.
There is no cost to the student, but a commitment to completion is required.
We are a non-denominational church in the Schertz-Cibolo-Marion area.
