The Beyond Cana Marriage Enrichment Retreat prayerfully provides couples with lifelong tools to renew and strengthen their Christ-centered marriages from a Catholic perspective.
Enrichment of marriage as a Sacrament is emphasized. The retreat is held once a year in a Texas hill-country venue, which provides a safe, intimate, and spiritual environment for the couples to focus on each other and their marriages.
Team couples and Fr. Jim led the retreat with instruction and demonstration, encouraging improved communication and goal planning.

Habitat for Humanity Ministry works to give a hand-up (not a hand-out) to a hardworking family in need of a decent, affordable home by providing the sponsorship, funds, and volunteers to actually help a family build their new home. The family purchases the home for a fair price secured by a no-interest, no-profit mortgage.
This Ministry raises funds for the construction cost of a Habitat House and enlists volunteers for the construction, telephoning, providing snacks/drinks/meals for the construction volunteers, and parish volunteers to pray for the project's success and the construction volunteers' safety.
Everyone can play a role and view with pride the progress of the house being built and then see the finished home and a happy family. Habitat selects the family for Humanity of San Antonio after a rigorous process, which helps ensure that the family can afford the home's mortgage and upkeep. Volunteer opportunity activities range from a few minutes to a day or more at the construction site.

The mission of this ministry is to provide support and hope in the power of prayer through the distribution of special prayer blankets to those who are very sick and/or hospitalized, to ICU, cancer, and children patients at Santa Rosa Hospital, to military family members (U.S. and abroad), to the elderly homebound of our parish, and many different community organizations.
Volunteers pray the rosary and offer prayer intentions for the recipients as the blankets are made. No sewing is required. This ministry is a parish-wide service opportunity.
