Our mission at Life Restored Church is to reach lives and restore hope through Jesus Christ. We believe in going out and reaching the lives that are less fortunate, dehumanized and marginalized and restoring the hope that is truly theirs in Christ.
At Life Restored Church, we believe that ministering to the poor is not supposed to be just an outreach, but the very DNA and culture of the Church. We are homeless and housed individuals and families in equal proportion and on equal footing. We love each other with the love of Christ.
Our vision is to become a 24/7 church that never closes its doors and a lighthouse to our city. We will be a place that meets every need that our society and loved ones have every day at every hour of the day. We will restore people who are homeless, addicted and hopeless and place them back into society transforming them to be who Christ died for them to be.
The Transformation Place (formerly Thompson Chapel Church of God in Christ) seeks to be a loving, friendly community that worships God and serves others. We place a high priority on teaching from the Bible and following the example of Jesus.
Our vision is to impact and renew San Antonio and beyond with the transforming message of Jesus Christ through words and actions. Everyone is welcome. Come as you are - we'd love to get to know you!

Our vision is to help the homeless, and those on drugs (crack cocaine, alcohol, downers, uppers, and heroin) and those in gangs. Each person is someone’s mother, father, sister, brother, wife, husband and child. We are not talking about helping all of them, but helping those who want to get off drugs. We want those who stand out on the street holding signs saying, “I’ll work for food.”
This is the command that Jesus gave Peter in John 21:15-17: FEED MY SHEEP. We have this mandate on our lives as well. We all need instruction in life, and we all need help. So let all of us love and help these individuals in need; all races and nationalities. Let us come together and love one another, and help these individuals to recover from their struggles.
There is hope for everyone in need.

"Sweet" Hodges Chapel AME Church was established over 50 years ago. Located minutes from Fort Sam Houston, services include singing, dancing, preaching, and teaching the word of God.
The AME Church was founded by Richard Allen (1760–1831) in 1816 when he called together five African-American congregations of the previously established Methodist Episcopal Church with the hope of escaping the discrimination that was commonplace in society, including churches. It was among the first denominations in the United States to be founded for this reason (rather than for theological distinctions).
The AME Church operates under an episcopal form of church government. The AME Church currently has 20 districts, each with its own bishop: 13 are based in the United States, mostly in the South, while seven are based in Africa. The global membership of the AME is around 2.5 million members, and it remains one of the largest Methodist denominations in the world.
AME persistently advocated for African Americans' civil and human rights through social improvement, religious autonomy, and political engagement while always being open to people of all racial backgrounds.
The AME motto, "God Our Father, Christ Our Redeemer, Holy Spirit Our Comforter, Humankind Our Family", reflects the basic beliefs of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
The basic foundations of the beliefs of the church can be summarized in the Apostles' Creed, and The Twenty-Five Articles of Religion, held in common with other Methodist Episcopal congregations. The church also observes the official bylaws of the AME Church.
