Forest Hills Presbyterian Church (Faith / Christian )

At Forest Hills Presbyterian Church our mission is to
Exalt Jesus Christ, Equip people for ministry, and Expand the Kingdom of God." Forest Hills Presbyterian is a Matthew 25 Church.

The Matthew 25 invitation focuses on Matthew 25: 31-46, the parable of the sheep and goats in which Jesus makes clear, that what we do matters to God and how we treat others is important to God.

Make no mistake, Jesus is calling us to perform ordinary acts of compassion in daily life. In so doing, we continue Christ’s work of proclaiming release to captives and good news to the poor — the good news of God’s righteousness, justice, and peace for all.

At Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, we are truly blessed with an incredible community of individuals who embody the power of togetherness. Through their generosity, passion, and unwavering commitment to our shared mission, we have been able to create a vibrant spiritual home that touches the lives of so many people.

Our members, each with their unique gifts and talents, devote their time and energy to serving on our numerous committees. Their selflessness and dedication to the betterment of our church and the wider community are truly inspiring. They remind us that when we come together, we can achieve greatness beyond measure.

Helotes Hills United Methodist Church (Faith / Christian )

Helotes Hills United Methodist Church (HHUMC) is a congregation that believes and teaches United Methodist doctrine in the Wesleyan tradition. Our mission is to grow and nurture disciples of Jesus Christ for the Transformation of our community and the world.

To realize our mission, we have set goals that will challenge us both as a church and as individuals. Our focus is on outreach, witnessing, nurturing faithful disciples, and building.

We believe that we are all lifelong learners on a journey of continual transformation. We are always striving to nurture and deepen our relationship with God and Jesus Christ. It is through that growing relationship with God, a deep sense of gratitude, and Christ's command to "Go and make disciples", that we respond out of love in service to our neighbors, our community, and the world.

Our vision statement is based on Biblical scripture:

LOVING GOD:  “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might” (Deuteronomy 6:5);

LOVING OTHERS:  “You shall love your neighbor as you love yourself” (Matthew 23:39);

SERVING THE WORLD: “For the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).

We believe in God’s great love for us, God’s always-present grace, and God’s forgiveness for our sins.

We come from hundreds of ethnic and language backgrounds, yet we are united by common goals. Above all, we want to honor Jehovah, the God of the Bible and the Creator of all things. We do our best to imitate Jesus Christ and are proud to be called Christians. Each of us regularly spends time helping people learn about the Bible and God’s Kingdom. Because we witness, or talk, about Jehovah God and his Kingdom, we are known as Jehovah’s Witnesses.

We started Grace Church as an experiment and ended up creating a community.

We focus on simple truths: relationship, not religion; serving others; faith in action; engaging worship; accepting everyone.

Connecting people to Christ, self, and others. The why really is that simple at Grace Church.

As a Christian community, Grace Church strives to live out the two great commandments of Jesus: love God and love people.

101 Advocacy (Business )
16.11 miles away, 22239 Midbury, San Antonio, TX, 78259 , D9

101 Advocacy brings experiences from both the education and family worlds. We are trained special education professionals, holding at least a Master's degree and working in the field for a combined total of 96 years. All advocates have a family member with special needs. This combination of experiences brings a unique service to families in Texas.

We believe educating families on special education/504 laws, their rights, and the implications of schools' recommendations are imperative for the family to make informed decisions. We assist at conferences, Admission, Review, Dismissal (ARD) meetings, and 504 meetings.

We advocate because we believe in strong collaboration between families and schools to get effective educational programs, services, and supports for students with disabilities. We believe the student's plan must be clearly and specifically stated and individualized so that it will meet each student's individual needs.
