A Memorial to San Antonio lives lost to COVID-19
The Deep in Our Hearts COVID-19 Memorial is located at the corner of E. Market and S. Alamo Streets in Downtown San Antonio, the future site of Civic Park (3 blocks south of the Alamo; directly west of the Convention Center; directly north of Hemisfair).
As of the end of April 2021, almost 3,500 San Antonians have been lost during the pandemic due to COVID-19. Family members of those who have died are invited to write name(s), prayers, attach photos, bring flowers, etc. at the memorial site (bring your own Sharpie).

Deep in Our Hearts consists of 3,500 red heart shapes (12āx13ā) attached to the fencing that surrounds the future Civic Park. The memorial provides a visual remembrance of our fellow San Antonians lost and a physical location for people to remember, mourn and heal.

As San Antonians committed to our community, SACRD.org (San Antonio Community Resource Directory) is stepping up as an example of community commitment. SACRD.org is volunteering to raise the financial community resources to cover the cost of this memorial installation.
Please join your community commitment with SACRDās. Consider becoming a Heart Supporter with them by contributing financially. The total supply cost for this public memorial installation comes to $7000. Any funds raised beyond covering the supply costs of Deep in Our Hearts will be given to local COVID-19 relief efforts.
A $10/heart donation is encouraged. Larger, more generous donations are needed and will also be gratefully accepted.
Dedication of the Deep in Our Hearts Memorial will be in place through Labor Day 2021.
Thank you for your donations and for spreading the word with family and friends, colleagues, and the community. #COVIDMemorialSA
