Thrive’s emergency shelter is housed on the campus of Haven for Hope and provides 10 young adults with shelter for up to 6 months.

The core services at our emergency shelter include not only basic needs of food and shelter but individually tailored and youth-directed case management plans to help young adults move forward in exiting homelessness.

Thrive assists young adults with linkage to resources such as ID recovery, counseling, medical services, gender-affirming care, educational opportunities, and vocational training in a safe and supportive environment.

Our focus is to help remove barriers that young adults may encounter in seeking services and help guide them toward their next move in achieving their goals.

I’m In Charge provides personal safety presentations with video and interactive dialogue for elementary school children in Title I schools. Topics covered include cyber-bullying/bullying and personal safety and are presented in the classrooms at the request of the local school districts. The program empowers students with information and tools to make the right decisions when they are home alone, on the internet, or in danger. Take-home booklets that reinforce the message are printed in both English and Spanish.

Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease occurs in people age 50 or younger and affects less than ten percent of the one million people with Parkinson’s in the U.S. Our group meets the third Saturday of each month in room the Seminar Room W100/101.

Guest speakers are invited to share information about how to live healthier and more active lives on our journey with Parkinson’s. If you are interested in learning more, please join us.

The TurningPoint Transitional Living program helps youth who have aged out of foster care and other homeless youth by providing a safe place to live, learn, and become productive, empowered members of our community.

Girls on the Run inspires girls of all abilities to recognize their individual strengths, while building a sense of connection in a team setting. At the end of the season, the team completes a 5K together, which provides a tangible sense of accomplishment and sets a confident mindset into motion.

¡Vamos Ya! is a Divine Redeemer Presbyterian Church ministry that serves at-risk youth in the near-Westside community of San Antonio, Texas. ¡Vamos Ya! guides our neighborhood youth to realize their full potential and grow into productive people through holistic support and caring relationships.

What started with community youth at Teen Night expressing the need for a safe place to develop their life skills and nurture their passions grew into House of Teens in 2003. As the program grew and connected to more families, it became evident that a program for community children was needed; this awareness brought about Peace Pals. In 2010, Multi-Level Educational Youth Outreach (MEYO) was created, encompassing Peace Pals, House of Teens, the Rivera Scholarship Fund, and supporting partnerships with other area organizations. 2012, our summer program Peace Camp began, and in 2018, MEYO became ¡Vamos Ya!

Our Family Support program empowers families to build healthy homes. We offer compassionate, non-judgmental support for parents of young children.

The program’s design incorporates science, math, language arts, geography, and other subject area disciplines into the "hands-on" gardening based activities. Service learning and community service is part of the program.

The Big Decisions curriculum is designed to help young people make healthy and informed decisions about sex and relationships. It’s approved for use in 40+ Texas school districts and contains 10 easy-to-use lessons. Big Decisions is designed to vigorously—and effectively—encourage young people to postpone sexual involvement.

This program is for students at L.E.E. High School.

Psycho-educational program for families referred by CPS, Family Drug Court, and Early Intervention Court. It builds healthy living skills, providing tools to bolster children's resiliency, while parents work to break the cycle of chemical dependency, abuse, and domestic violence.

This program is designed to engage perpetrators of family violence in recognizing the impact of their violence on children and complements BIPP.

The curriculum invites fathers to explore their childhood and how it may have shaped their beliefs and behaviors about fatherhood, as well as the concept that abusing a child's mother is abusive to children.

It also supports men in developing non-violent, nurturing, child-centered parenting practices.

 25-hour process and curriculum-based psycho-educational group to support Survivors in exploring their experiences and how domestic violence impacts children. Survivors are guided through processing their life experiences and considerations for healing and working towards optimal change and growth.

Our Violence Intervention Program is one of only three State-certified Batterers Intervention Programs in Bexar County, reaching male, female, and LGBTQ perpetrators of domestic violence with a comprehensive curriculum.

The VIP program consists of group therapy for men and women who perpetrate domestic and family violence. VIP curriculum allows perpetrators to take responsibility for their abusive behavior and teaches them the fundamentals of a healthy, non-violent relationship. It is designed to cover different aspects of violence and family abuse.

If you are ready to end your abusive behavior, join one of our groups. The program consists of 20 group sessions that meet every week for two hours. If you are interested in joining, please set an appointment.

All services are offered in English and Spanish.
