Food Bank Ministry
The purpose of this ministry is to sort and distribute food items from the San Antonio Food Bank to members of the public. The Food Bank is held every first Saturday at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. May be required to set up and clean up facility before and after the food drive. Membership at True Vine Baptist Church is not required. Every 1st Saturday, 9-11 a.m.

Project HOPE (Healthy Options Program for the Elderly) The Project HOPE program is a city funded program through the City of San Antonio. This program provides seniors living on a fixed income with supplemental staple groceries on a monthly bases to help fight hunger and malnutrition.
The program offers between 35-45 lbs of perishable/non-perishable food. Exact contents vary, though items selected would include fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable produce, proteins, dairy, grains, peanut butter or beans.

Criteria for Project HOPE:
Age qualification:
The seniors must be 60 years of age and older and be within 185% of the federal poverty guidelines to participate in the program. All participants must reside within Bexar County. Each qualifying senior in a household can sign up separately to receive the program.

- Proof of income (SSI award letter or current paystubs)

We strive very hard to provide our clients with a well-balanced variety of canned food, staples, frozen food, baked goods, and occasionally fresh produce. You can return every 30 days.

Christian Family Baptist Church (CFBC) Mobile Food Pantry is a progressive community outreach ministry for fighting hunger and malnutrition. As people face both chronic and temporary hardships, we have discovered a significant need for temporary food assistance and nutritional education for our rapidly growing community.
Therefore, we have partnered with the San Antonio Food Bank and Daily Bread Ministries for providing groceries, guidance and education to sustain and expand our mission from a pantry to a food distribution center.

The program provides approximately 50-60 pounds of food to qualifying seniors each month. Food is chosen to accommodate the special dietary needs of the senior population and includes produce, protein, whole grains, and staples that will help the seniors live healthy and independent lives.
