The program offers between 35-45 lbs of perishable/non-perishable food. Exact contents vary, though items selected would include fresh, frozen, and shelf-stable produce, proteins, dairy, grains, peanut butter or beans.

The seniors must be 60 years of age and older and be within 185% of the federal poverty guidelines to participate in the program. All participants must reside within Bexar County. Each qualifying senior in a household can sign up separately to receive the program.

Our site fundraises and sells breakfast daily from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM to help sustain the center since we are a satellite center.

Additional services are provided through our partnership with the San Antonio Food Bank and seniors are encouraged to apply with the Project Hope Supplement Program and Commodities Supplement Food Program to assist all registered seniors at our program. These two programs are ongoing every month with application and recertification.

Sisters Care In-Home Care provides caregivers in an adult's residence to assist them with bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, organization, and companionship.

Services offered are paid through private pay, long-term care insurance, and A.A.C.O.G. funding.

Additionally, Sisters Care In-Home Care has a non-profit program called Project Elder Help that offers caregivers on a reduced fee basis if approved based on application and grant funds available.

This program offers assistance for anyone over the age of 18 who is receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and or Social Security Administration (SSA) benefits. The Financial Wellness and Care program applies to Social Security on the client's behalf so Catholic Charities can become their Representative Payee. The goal of this program is to prevent financial abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the SSI recipients in the community.

The program currently charges all clients a $45 a month fee and ensures the client's bills will be paid on time.
