Hospice care is for people who are searching for a quality life when they are facing a life-limiting illness.

When the focus becomes palliative versus curative, this change does not mean giving up, or giving in, but means choosing to have your symptoms controlled and living your life on your terms.

Our team are experts in pain and symptom management. We are there to focus on symptoms, so you and your loved ones can focus on life. We take a compassionate, patient-centered approach to providing holistic care – physical, emotional, and spiritual – for our patients and their families.

Hospice is about living and spending time with what or who matters most to you.

Under Hope Hospice care you or your loved one are involved in the plan for your care. You have a team of professionals helping guide you through these decisions. This team includes a hospice physician, your primary physician, a team of registered nurses, a master’s level social worker, a spiritual care counselor, certified nurse’s aides, and volunteers.

Hope Hospice helps you cover the cost of the visits from your team, wherever you call home. Hospice covers all related medications, supplies, medical equipment, and appropriate treatments to maximize your comfort.

Our Pregnant and Parenting Teen program, located on a 17-acre campus in New Braunfels, Texas prepares young moms for parenthood with a focus on education, life skills and positive parenting tools. We are preserving the family and strengthening the mother/child bond!

Residents of the program have initially been placed in SJRC’s care by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Most have been taken from their parents or caregivers because of some form of abuse, abandonment or neglect.

The Program provides "at-risk" mothers ages 10 to 20 years old the opportunity to receive training and guidance on parenting, job and life skills as well as social, academic and independent living skill development. Individualized therapy classes are also offered when you arrive pregnant, the mother and baby's health care needs are met throughout her pregnancy and beyond.

Our facilities offer mothers a calm and safe environment through the pregnancy stages and after the arrival of her new baby. In addition to a parenting curriculum, all of our moms attend the local public high school and receive individualized case management provided by trained and caring staff. Moms and their babies are able to stay until they are ready to transition to independent living or until they turn 21 years old. Working in the community and learning how to become a self-sufficient and productive parent and member of society are core skills these young women will learn as residents of the SJRC Texas Pregnant and Parenting Teen Program.

The program is also available to undocumented persons who meet eligibility requirements.

Through an extensive program of care, counseling, medical treatment, therapy and education, our goal is for children between the ages of 10 and 17 to be restored, function in society, and mature into successful adults by providing a safe space for victims of human trafficking.

We exist to provide long-term care, rehabilitation, and healing for victims of modern-day slavery, sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation.

  • Medical Care by Board Certified Pediatrician
  • Assistance for drug and alcohol abuse to set each child up for long-term recovery
  • Psychiatric Evaluation, treatment and continued monitoring
  • Psychological and Trauma Counseling
  • High Staff to Child Ratio
  • Education – A curriculum plan will be developed based on each child’s specific needs. Credit recovery is a main priority.
  • Daily Living Skills – Designed to prepare the girls for independent living, this program will teach personal care, housekeeping, proper nutrition, budgeting, and employment preparation.
  • Mentorship Program
  • Spiritual Needs – What sets Retreat 4 Kids apart from other programs is our belief that God can truly change lives forever. Our team serves all in need, regardless of their faith. We will assess each girl’s spiritual needs and offer opportunities for her to learn, grow and mature in her spiritual walk. And with help from our coalition of churches, we will provide a circle of Christian friends and mentors can help her transition to a new life.
  • Equestrian Therapy
  • Reunification with Family/Relatives – We will exhaust every opportunity to successfully reunite the victim with her immediate family or relatives when appropriate. If the child is unable to reunite with her family, we will seek foster care in a supportive and safe home. Or if the girl is of age, we will prepare her to live independently.
  • Each child’s situation is evaluated and all avenues will be exhausted to best serve the child.

Victims of trafficking, sexual abuse, and sexual exploitation ages 10 - 17.
