Money Matters: Make It Count helps teens gain useful knowledge and skills on various aspects of financial literacy, including budgeting, saving and investing, credit and debt, entrepreneurship and planning for college. Money Matters is made possible through funding from Charles Schwab Foundation

The Teen Personal Finance Guide is a fun, innovative and useful tool for teens. It includes practical tips and activities to help teens learn the important skills of balancing a checkbook, creating a budget and investing for college and retirement. The guide also provides teens with basic entrepreneurship information for those interested in starting businesses.

Our preteens and teenagers have more guided activities, such as college visits, career skills building, driving simulations, and leadership and community-service-focused clubs.

BGCSA offers more support by offering transportation to Clubhouse locations. Snacks and/or meals are also provided to all kids before they head home.

This program offers assistance for anyone over the age of 18 who is receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and or Social Security Administration (SSA) benefits. The Financial Wellness and Care program applies to Social Security on the client's behalf so Catholic Charities can become their Representative Payee. The goal of this program is to prevent financial abuse, neglect, and exploitation of the SSI recipients in the community.

The program currently charges all clients a $45 a month fee and ensures the client's bills will be paid on time.

Offers a range of information from basic money and financial management principles, to entrepreneurial services, asset protection and financial inclusion for youth and immigrants. All programs are offered in English and Spanish, contact us for upcoming workshops or events.

In addition, couples learn about anger and stress management, domestic violence prevention, how to express their emotions in a positive manner, and the community support and opportunities to achieve their goals.
