Cricket is a game somewhat similar in principle to baseball.
It is played on a large grass field by two teams of 11 players. In the center of the field, there is a strip of very short grass 22 yards long. At each end of this ‘pitch’, there is a wicket consisting of three sticks (‘stumps’) raised out of the ground and two bails resting on top of the stumps. The edge of the field is marked out by a boundary. If the ball goes beyond this boundary, it is dead (out of play).
San Antonio parks give people an opportunity to spend time enjoying the outdoors, with fresh air, sunshine and exercise on tap for visitors. Take a walk, enjoy the scenery, and de-stress.
Studies show people who spend time in parks will be sick less often, which means less time missing from school and work, as well as lower healthcare costs and better overall health. And it’s fun and refreshing. Visit a San Antonio park today!

Disc Golf Info: 18-hole Course
Have fun, enjoy the fresh air, and get some exercise with disc golf fun on your own. Disc golf rules are similar to those used in club golf. The game is played like ball golf using a flying disc and trying to toss it into pole baskets. Like regular golf, it's a lot harder than it looks! One point is scored each time the disc is thrown and when a penalty is incurred. The object is to acquire the lowest score.
The courses are unstaffed and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Be sure to bring your own discs!
Admission is free.
