The Thrift Store offers gently used clothing and housewares at reasonable prices from friendly people.

Proceeds from the store go back to the ministries of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Child Development Center. See us... ...to shop, to donate, or to volunteer.

The thrift store is located in the historic school building, just east of the church parking lot at the corner of Roseborough and Kinney.

Pastor Henry Mooney is the Spiritual Leader of Believers In Christ Ministries & Believers And Community Development. He came to Christ after a long life of crime and unbelief.

Prayer is powerful and changes things! Every Friday night we meet at our community center to pray for our community and our city. Come join us in faith as we pray for God to move in our community and to change lives.

We love putting on special events, especially during the holidays. We have programs for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas such as turkey and ham distribution. Other special events for the community include sourcing backpacks and school supplies for kids and we also have community celebration dinners.

FEED MY SHEEP is the command that Jesus gave Peter in John 21:15-17 . We have this mandate on our lives as well.

Step Two – The site employee finds a comfortable place for the youth to wait while they call the licensed Safe Place agency. For the greater San Antonio area that is Roy Maas Youth Alternatives (RMYA).

Step Three – An RMYA staff member will talk with the youth to get more information and explain that an SAPD officer can escort them to the RMYA Bridge Emergency shelter.  If the child is agreeable, the RMYA staff will contact SAPD to transport the youth to the shelter. 

Step Four – Once at the Bridge, direct-care staff and counselors meet with the youth and provide support. Agency staff ensures the youth and their families receive the help and professional services they need.

This program is for youth under the age of 18 in need of immediate help and safety.

Warren’s Closet’s mission is to provide hope to the underprivileged communities of San Antonio by distributing gently-used and new clothes, shoes, miscellaneous household items, toiletries and personal hygiene items. Every distribution is free of charge and without obligation. We believe that no one should go without the basic household toiletries needed for everyday use. Warren’s Closet also serves as a resource to other programs such as foster care, CPS, and shelters in and around our city.

Catholic Charities can help with basic needs while you work toward self-sufficiency. St. Stephen’s CARE Center provides Compassion, Aid, Respect, and Empowerment to those who need us most.

Food Pantry Individuals and families in need of food are offered bundles of non-perishable food items which can last up to two weeks. Clients are also offered recipes for provisions in order to maximize the use of their food bundle. In the event an individual who is homeless seeks food from the Food Pantry, they are offered foods sensitive to their situation. Clothes Closet Individuals and families in need of clothing may visit our on-site Clothes Closet. The clothes, shoes, and accessories are organized by clothing type, color, and size. In addition, basic household items such as plates, cups, and cookware are also offered.

St Stephen's Care Center also serves as a Texas Diaper Bank distribution point.

• ID for every household member
• Social Security for every household member
• Current Utility bill

One person may pick up food for the household as long as they have the above requirements, you must go inside to receive food.

We provide bananas, cantaloupes, cakes, bread, bags of salad kits, and other items.

Thanks to generous donations, the SA Hope Center offers our very own clothing closet. We work hard to be fully stocked with clothing in most sizes for all seasons and occasions. From infant’s clothes to interview outfits, we offer it all.

To shop in the Clothing Closet, program participants are required to make an appointment with their mentor.

In addition to distributing food to all who come, we will have clothing, blankets, kitchen ware, work t-shirts, shoes, decorative items, toys, CD's and more for sale. Most items will be a dollar or less. This sale allows members of our food bank communnity on limited incomes to make the most of their spending money.
