A few of our children living at Mission Road are members of loving and participative families. These families partner with us to care for their children overnight, throughout the week and on weekends as is helpful. We provide each child with professional, 24-hour AWAKE care by trained, attentive staff allowing the child to thrive and grow into a successful and happy adult.

We provide our partnering families with time and respite from the 24/7/365 care that often overwhelms families with children with special needs.

The children in our Boarding School program join us as residents in our cottages and participate completely in all campus and programming activities. The children attend public school at Harlandale ISD as full time students utilizing the exceptional special needs education program of the district.

Families maintain complete and full access to their children and are welcomed to the campus any time, day or night, to monitor and oversee their child's care. Parents are encouraged to attend all campus events and field trips. Parents continue to include their children in family activities that are part of their family tradition.

Children ages 3 to 17 years with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.

Our teaching staff is dedicated to making the Castle Hills Christian Church Mother’s Day Out Ministry a positive learning experience for all preschoolers. We want to meet your child’s spiritual, emotional, mental, physical, and social needs in a warm and loving environment. Our classrooms are bright and child oriented. They are arranged into play/learning centers where children can make choices for individual and small group activities. We use age appropriate learning methods in our classrooms. Children are encouraged to learn and make discoveries through organized activities and learning opportunities planned around each theme.

Ages: 2 years to Pre-K.

Quality out-of-school (OST) time programs like Academic Achievers reduce the number of school-aged children who become involved with negative behaviors and promote academic success. SA Youth’s Academic Achievers program takes place after school and during the summer for youth between the ages of 5 and 13.

Our site locations operate four to five hours during the school year and up to ten hours over the summer and select school holidays. SA Youth provides a safe place, caring adults, and positive youth development programs during the out-of-school time hours when destructive and other risky behaviors can occur.

Communities In Schools programs surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. Our evidence-based approach, adapted to meet each community’s unique needs, is the basis for our success.

Basic Needs: A student cannot focus in the classroom if he or she is hungry, cold or tired, or cannot see the board. Site coordinators see to it that students' basic needs are met each day.

Enrichment: Our Site coordinators enroll students in a wide variety of after-school and summer programs, field trips and youth conferences to help them gain experience that is essential to meeting college and career goals.

Academic Assistance: Our site coordinators work hard to ensure that students have the resources to progress academically. From providing students with tutors to finding and creating quiet spaces where students can study, we do whatever it takes to create an optimal learning environment for our students.

Life Skills: Through one-on-one workshops, team building, and guest speakers, we work with students to develop social-emotional learning, character education, social skills building, and conflict resolution.

Behavioral Interventions: Many of our students face and overcome difficult obstacles in their lives. However, their survival skills aren’t always effective in the classroom or in the workplace. Our program teaches students positive ways to cope with anger, conflict resolution, and other strategies to keep them focused on school.

Family Engagement: Site coordinators connect families with counselors and social workers to make sure that home is a healthy, nurturing environment where a student can feel safe.

This program is for students at Legacy Middle School.
