Welcome all women Veterans, family members, caregivers, and advocates! The Center for Women Veterans’ (CWV) mission is to monitor and coordinate VA’s administration of health care, benefits, services, and programs for women Veterans. We serve as an advocate for cultural transformation and to raise awareness of the responsibility to treat women Veterans with dignity and respect to #BringWomenVeteransHome2VA.

Today’s VA is focused on the needs of women Veterans and cultural transformation. We aim to provide an environment free from harassment. VA has introduced White Ribbon, a national call to action to eliminate sexual harassment, sexual assault, and domestic violence. VA Secretary McDonough is making accountability of those who commit harassment or sexual assault an important part of creating a culture that is free from harassment and sexual assault, without fear of retaliation.

We are women Veterans proud to serve our sister Veterans and those who serve them. Stay in touch, sign up for email, follow us on Facebook. We share information on benefits and services, events, stories, research and more. Thank you for your service!

The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) provides comprehensive support to Family members with special needs. EFMP takes an all-inclusive approach to coordinate military and civilian community, educational, medical, housing, and personnel services to help Soldiers and their Families with special needs.

An Exceptional Family Member is a Family member with any physical, emotional, developmental, or intellectual disorder that requires special treatment, therapy, education, training, or counseling, and meets the eligibility criteria.

Soldiers with Exceptional Family Members are required to register for EFMP and keep enrollment information current. This way, Family needs will be considered during the OCONUS assignments process.

If you’re eligible for EFMP services, Family members must be screened and enrolled when they accompany authorized Soldiers on OCONUS assignments. Screenings include medical records review for all Family members and developmental screening for all children aged 72 months and younger.

Click here to find an EFMP service near you.

Who must enroll in the program?

  • Active Army
  • U.S. Army Reserve (USAR) Soldiers in the Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Program
  • Army National Guard (ARNG) AGR personnel serving under authority of 10 USC and 32 USC. Department of the Army civilian employees do not enroll in the program.

You must identify dependent children with special education and medically related service needs and Family members with medical needs each time they process for an assignment to a location outside the United States where Family member travel is authorized at government expense.

Our agency champions healthcare access for all individuals with disabilities. We believe that people with disabilities should have access to healthcare coverage and services that meet their unique needs and that all services should be readily available, affordable, accessible, and accountable.

To achieve these goals, Disability Rights Texas’s efforts include individual casework, training programs, and advocacy for public policies that support access to quality healthcare and services for individuals with disabilities.

Hospice professionals across the country focus on a single purpose: to provide comfort and support at the end of life. That’s why America’s hospice professionals are on a mission to learn how to serve Veterans through the challenges they may be facing from illness, isolation, or traumatic life experiences.

America’s Veterans have done everything asked of them in their mission to serve our country. Now it is time that we step up, acquire the necessary skills, and fulfill our mission to serve these men and women with the dignity they deserve.

Regardless of the situation, it is a priority of the We Honor Veterans program to ensure that all Veterans receive compassionate, quality care at the end of life.

Bristol Hospice gratefully offers education and assistance to Veterans regarding their hospice benefits.

Everything that Flagship does is veteran centric. Our founding physicians have served, deployed, and have first-hand knowledge of veteran experiences and issues. Flagship Health knows how important peer-to-peer connections can be, so we make it a priority to hire clinicians and staff who understand the military experience.

Flagship Health will coordinate with any of your current civilian, VA, and military specialist physicians. We also offer access to a network of specialists that we trust to provide exceptional care for our patients. Our mission is to provide you with a seamless model of care.

Flagship Health is more than just medical care – we are a place where Veterans can gather in a community setting to find support and camaraderie in all aspects of their lives. Flagship provides comprehensive primary care, lab services, care coordination, integrated behavioral health services, and veteran-centric social service connections. We also work closely with Veteran Service Organizations and help Veterans understand and maximize the benefits they are entitled to.

Members can and should continue to use all their earned benefits. Flagship Health is uniquely positioned to help veterans coordinate and navigate their various care benefits to create a seamless health experience.

Not only does Flagship encourage members to best use their earned benefits, we also ensure all members are able to obtain the most from those respective services.

Flagship will work with members to navigate the Tricare benefit structure to ensure that all Flagship and other veteran services are covered by Tricare. Many of our members will have Tricare for Life – which will allow them to have the best services possible.

Flagship Health is paid for through traditional Medicare, Tricare, or Medicare Advantage Insurance Plans. For those veterans who do not have Medicare, Tricare, or Medicare Advantage – Flagship will help Veterans find appropriate services either through the VA, Medicaid, or Commercial Health Plans. We are committed to helping you, no matter your insurance eligibility.

Obtaining a diagnosis of autism is often the first step in helping a child with autism. A diagnosis is determined through a diagnostic evaluation, which is required for ABA therapy.

A comprehensive diagnostic evaluation uses questionnaires, interviews, natural environment observations, and diagnosis-specific testing instruments to provide specific diagnoses for autism. The diagnostic report is reviewed with the family to guide the next steps for getting the child the support they need.

We can help you through the process of obtaining a diagnostic evaluation.

Most health insurance companies are mandated by law to cover ABA therapy for children diagnosed with autism. We work with most commercial insurance companies and Tricare, and accept Medicaid in select locations.

We are here to help you navigate the process with your insurance! Once you get started with us, we will guide you through step-by-step and work on your behalf to make sure the services your child needs are covered by your health insurance.

Supporting the long-term health of a Green Beret's Mind, Body, and Spirit.

The long-term health of a Green Beret’s mind, body, spirit are of the utmost importance to the Foundation. We supplement the care that the Military Health System (MHS) and Veterans Health Administration (VA) provides to ensure total wellness for the Green Beret.

Some examples of how we support our community:

  • Funded Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) for TBI and PTSD
  • Alpha-Stim®
  • Infrared Light Therapy
  • ChiliPad™
  • Neurofeedback
  • Laser Regeneration Therapy
  • Aphasia Therapy
  • Access to substance abuse treatment
  • Inpatient/Outpatient healthcare costs not covered by TRICARE or the Veterans Health Administration

Health and Wellness Support Process:

  1. A Green Beret, family member, or Care Coalition advocate contacts the Foundation to inform us of a need that has arisen in our community.
  2. We ensure the person is, in fact, a Green Beret and that the need is valid and not supported by the Veterans Administration.
  3. We require supporting documentation to communicate the scope and cost of the support required.
  4. We require supporting documentation to communicate the scope and cost of the support required.
  5. We require supporting documentation to communicate the scope and cost of the support required.
  6. We continuously engage with the Green Beret and his family to see if the support has been helpful and if other needs have arisen.

The Next Ridgeline

The Green Beret Foundation’s Next Ridgeline program recognizes that no two Green Berets are alike. So, in order to be effective, our program goals strive to provide a self-driven, individualized experience. This will allow each Green Beret to utilize the sources, networks, and opportunities that are unique as he is.

By leveraging a diverse group of veteran organizations that specifically work in select areas, the Next Ridgeline program will work to develop each Green Beret’s own core capabilities, enhancing his performance in our focus areas and creating a superior individual who is prepared for transition into the civilian world.

Our Service Coordinators are trained in person-centered thinking and person-centered plan facilitation, which means they have learned skills to better support individuals to achieve their goals at home, school, work, and in the community.

The Service Coordination team assists with:

  • determining eligibility for services;
  • enrollment into programs;
  • coordinating and monitoring ongoing services;
  • placing individuals on the Home and Community-Based Services (HCS) and Texas Home Living Interest lists;
