Families and individuals in need of clothing may "shop" at our clothes closet once every 30 days.

The San Antonio Community and Donation Center serves RAICES clients as an inclusive and welcoming space for all newcomers.

Clients are also welcome to attend community events such as medical clinics, toy and school supply drives amongst others.

Must be a RAICES client.

We are always looking for donations of new items to meet our client’s basic daily living needs. The following donations are only accepted in San Antonio, Tx.

The Guadalupe Community Center provides free, wrap-around support and advocacy services to help individuals and families in need work towards self-sufficiency.

Veronica's Boutique at Guadalupe Community Center provides free material assistance including diapers, wipes, baby clothes, baby shoes, socks, formula, and baby food.

Parenting education and guidance are also offered in a one-on-one setting with wraparound services like birth doulas, breastfeeding consultation, counseling, and other support offered through case management.

Veronica's Boutique serves expecting mothers and new parents with children under 36 months.

Every Saturday from 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM we serve a hot meal, hand bags of groceries, offer clothing and toiletries, and haircuts once a month. We have an Outreach Pavilion where people can come in out of the heat or cold and sit at tables and be served. A playground is available for children to play.

Our Family Support program empowers families to build healthy homes. We offer compassionate, non-judgmental support for parents of young children.

Kid’s Place Child Development and Treatment Center improves the social-emotional, physical, and intellectual development of children enrolled in its multi-age classes. Kid's Place is a "Three Star" approved Child Care Service (CCS) "Quality Care Provider".

As part of our intake process, we assess not only the child’s level of developmental functioning but also the degree of stress in the family. This allows us to develop individualized plans of care.

We love being an intergenerational space! We engage local seniors to read with Kid’s Place students once a week. Intergenerational activities can improve children’s motor and cognitive skills, as well as social and emotional competencies like empathy, patience, and problem-solving.

Thanks to generous support from foundation partners and individual donors, we are able to provide tuition assistance for our students.

The Family First Parenting Program provides material assistance, counseling, referrals, parenting education, and other resources to strengthen families.

Services provided include:

• Material Assistance: Baby clothing, diapers, wipes, toiletries, and formula
• Counseling: Therapeutic services for processing issues, concerns, emotional difficulties related to the stress of pregnancy and parenting
• Referrals: Assistance in connecting with various parenting, healthcare, insurance, housing, financial assistance, employment, and education resources
• Parenting Education: Guidance on various parenting support topics
• Case Management, CPR/first aid certification available

Eligibility is for men and women who:

• are expecting a child;
• parent a child 36 months old or younger;
• are adopting parents within 24 months of placement of child;
• are a U.S. Citizen

Eligible parents do not need a connection or prior engagement with St. PJ’s Children’s Home to take part in the program. Community members are welcome.

Catholic Charities can help with basic needs while you work toward self-sufficiency. St. Stephen’s CARE Center provides Compassion, Aid, Respect, and Empowerment to those who need us most.

Food Pantry Individuals and families in need of food are offered bundles of non-perishable food items which can last up to two weeks. Clients are also offered recipes for provisions in order to maximize the use of their food bundle. In the event an individual who is homeless seeks food from the Food Pantry, they are offered foods sensitive to their situation. Clothes Closet Individuals and families in need of clothing may visit our on-site Clothes Closet. The clothes, shoes, and accessories are organized by clothing type, color, and size. In addition, basic household items such as plates, cups, and cookware are also offered.

St Stephen's Care Center also serves as a Texas Diaper Bank distribution point.

Requirements:

• ID for every household member
• Social Security for every household member
• Current Utility bill

One person may pick up food for the household as long as they have the above requirements, you must go inside to receive food.

Through our partnership with the Texas Diaper Bank, the SA Hope Center is able to provide diapers to participants who are attending a parenting program.

Anyone not enrolled in SAHC programs may come for assistance once a year. Walk-ins welcome.

Togs For Tots provides new clothing, personal care kit, jacket, reading book along with a Watch Me Grow booklet for parents of new babies and preschool children. School uniforms are provided to Head Start programs. This program is carried out in collaboration with local social service agencies and several schools whose staff determine which at-risk children will be the recipients.  

Each child receives:

• two complete outfits
• a personal grooming kit
• an age-appropriate book
• a “Watch Me Grow” book
• six pairs of socks
• for ages three and above, underwear and a jacket
• for infants, newborn through three months, a baby gown lovingly sewn by member volunteers

Parents who are pregnant or have children 36 months and younger are encouraged to make an appointment or stop by to see how our programs may be able to assist you.

In addition to serving our targeted population, our programs have grown to be able to support other needs in the community including elderly clients in need of adult diapers, college students, and clients in an active job search.

A New Life For A New Generation offers counseling for parents and their children, assistance with job search, education on local resources, parenting classes as well as car seat training. To assist in uniting our community, we also host socials.
