The Sobering Unit is a jail diversion program designed to offer a treatment alternative in lieu of arrest to public intoxicants by providing a medically safe environment utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to engage the individual and offer direct access to treatment. The Sobering Unit is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and no appointment is necessary.

Substance addiction causes problems that are nearly impossible to solve by yourself. Since 2008, the Residential Detoxification Unit has provided a safe portal to end addiction, whatever the substance. Be it alcohol, heroin, methamphetamine, stimulants, benzodiazepines/sedatives, or any of the newer synthetic substances, Detox staff provides medical oversight as you rid your body of the addictive substance. Then we help you access programs that motivate you to recover and stay clean.

The Center’s Residential Detoxification Unit (Detox) is a licensed, accredited 28-bed facility offering medical oversight and recovery support for people withdrawing from addictive substances. Residencies are typically 3-7 days, but will vary depending on an individual patient’s symptoms.

Detox aims to:

  • Help you complete a safe withdrawal from alcohol and drug abuse.
  • Encourage you to continue substance abuse treatment.
  • Motivate and empower you to develop a healthy recovery lifestyle.
