The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Southwest Council has two different types of volunteers - Good Samaritans and Vincentians.

Good Samaritan Volunteers work with our Society of St. Vincent de Paul staff. They assist us in collecting and sorting fans for Project Cool, sorting and pre-packaging food to distribute to families in need, organizing food drives and third-party events to bring in critically needed items, assisting in St. Vinny's Bistro to cook and serve food to homeless individuals, and assisting with special projects.

Vincentian Volunteers are parish-based volunteers. Vincentians conduct Home Visits (in-person and virtual). During their visit, Vincentians can assess our friends' needs and refer them to one or all of our programs.

Conference Support Volunteer:

Volunteer at your local St. Vincent de Paul Conference location. Volunteers help stock shelves, bag food, sort donations, and greet our brothers and sisters who come to our doors seeking assistance.

Volunteers are needed on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
