The Center administers up to two years of rental assistance to applicants actively receiving treatment in CHCS programs and needing rental assistance.

TBRA is a contract funded by the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA).

To take advantage of the Supported Housing Programs you must meet these qualifications:

• be a current adult mental health consumer with The Center for Health Care Services Outpatient Clinics. (CHCS offers services for mental health disorders and substance use challenges.)
• have verifiable income
• be verifiably homeless by HUD definition (an individual or family with a primary nighttime residence that is a public or private place not designed for or ordinarily used as a regular sleeping accommodation for human beings, including a car, park, abandoned building, bus or train station, airport, or campground)
• have a valid government-issued I.D., birth certificate, and Social Security card
