San Antonio Community Resource Directory

The Southwind City Locals program is designed for men and women of a wide variety of abilities who desire to live independently within the community and have the necessary skill set to do so with minor assistance.

City Locals live in our partnered, affordably priced apartment complex located on the Northwest side of San Antonio. Here, they maintain their own lease agreements, while enjoying the fellowship and community of living alongside other Southwind City Locals.

City Locals have the opportunity to attend the Southwind Day Program, should they so desire, where they may participate in community impact team mission work and attend Life Groups and Worship Gatherings.

Other aspects of the City Locals program include:

  • Roommate match (Locals choose their roommate from a pool of potential life-long friends)
  • Community apartment living centered around the community-strong concept
  • Personal Local Advisor (case management/advocacy/State & Medicaid provider supervision)
