Free Home Internet near some SAISD Schools
SAISD has partnered with Compudopt (a national nonprofit organization) to provide free internet in neighborhoods around certain schools that are equipped with special internet towers.

More about the program
Compudopt is focused on providing technology access and education to communities across the US. They are in 18 states, including over 10 cities in Texas, and provide the following:
- Free computer giveaways
- Free internet (in certain neighborhoods only)
- Free online skills classes
Compudopt's team will check to make sure your home is in the coverage area, then provide you a home internet device like the one pictured here. This internet is unfiltered, just like a connection from AT&T, Spectrum, or Google Fiber, and can provide speeds up to 100mbps.
Must live in the coverage area and apply.
