Youth lack access to learning opportunities during the summer and fall further behind their peers every day. Camp Good Sam is a six-week summer program designed to keep minds learning during the summer months to avoid the "summer slide."
Camp Good Sam is a program of Good Sam's Youth Development Services (YDS), whose goal is to help young people acquire the life and academic skills necessary for personal success.
YDS exposes youth to new experiences, provides safe spaces to learn, and helps develop a sense of purpose by providing structured, age-appropriate services through five pillars:
- Support Educational Achievement
- Encourage Healthy Decisions
- Explore College and Career Pathways
- Develop Leaders
- Engage Families
