The City of San Antonio reopened the Housing Assistance Program to accept Rental Assistance applications starting Thursday, February 15th.
Residents needing Rental Assistance can call the Homeless Connections Hotline at 210-207-1799 and complete a pre-screening process. Eligible residents may then submit an online application for Rental Assistance.
Pre-screened applicants living in San Antonio will be eligible to receive up to three consecutive months (arrears and may include current and future) for a maximum of $3500 of rental assistance and $1500 of utility assistance.
Due to limited funds, applicants who received rental assistance from our programs within 12 months of applying will not be eligible for an additional award.
San Antonio's Neighborhood and Housing Services Department will also continue to support households in need with a variety of resources such as the Resident Relocation Assistance Program. Also, the Eviction Intervention Team remains active at all precinct courts, providing the latest information on intervention services and free legal aid resources.
