Chinmaya Mission San Antonio (CMSA) (Nonprofit / Hindu )

Chinmaya Mission of San Antonio was founded in the year 2017 on the grounds of San Antonio’s Mother Temple, as an abbey for learning and spiritual growth. The center was established as a result of the joint vision of Swami Shivatmananda, the resident Acharya (monk) along with Drs. Ramkrishna and Kamala Rao. Their goal was to develop a center for Vedanta studies accessible to both children and adults of the greater San Antonio community. The center, which is dedicated to spiritual growth, is graced by Sharadamba the goddess of ultimate knowledge (Bhramavidya). Our center, which houses Sharadamba and Shivatmananda Swamiji, also is the location of weekly Satsangs and BalaVihar programs.

CMSA offers a very well established structured program for the growth of individuals from all backgrounds, as part of the larger Chinmaya Mission organization whose purpose is spreading the teachings contained in Vedas and Upanishads.

Excerpt from the ECO Constitution -

"The great purpose toward which each human life is drawn is to glorify God and to enjoy Him forever.

Each member of the church glorifies God by recognizing and naming His glory, which is the manifestation and revelation of His own nature. Each member of the church enjoys God by being so united with Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit as to become a participant in that divine nature, transformed from one degree of glory to another and escorted by Christ into the loving communion of the Trinity. So we confess our faith not as a matter of dispassionate intellectual assent, but rather as an act by which we give God glory and announce our membership in the body of Christ. We trust that when God’s glory is so lifted up and when His nature is thus made manifest in the life of the body, the church will be a light that draws people from every tribe and tongue and nation to be reconciled to God."

Ministering to the formerly incarcerated was conceived in the heart of our Founder, John E. Mickel, Jr. After serving and driving hundreds of miles with the New Creation Christian Fellowship Prison Ministry team, he was troubled that there was not anything to keep men and women from returning to prison. The Lord begin to trouble him about doing something about it. He came up with a plan he and his wife, typed it out and presented it to his leaders and they blessed it. After this, he began to gather like-minded team members to help carry this plan out.

On March 26, 2013, John and Tiffany Mickel, founded Transforming Lives Through H.O.P.E. in their home. Founding members include Pearl Conyers, Carol Lee, Gayle King, Joe Howard, Edwin Gorham and Arthur Sanderson. From this gathering, the TLT H.O.P.E. team emerged and organized a successful outreach program for the formerly incarcerated.

We are a HEALING place, EQUIPPING disciples to SERVE.

HEALING refers to our focus on Church Health not merely Church Growth: comforting the wounded, restoring the fallen as we find freedom in Christ over sins, addictions, and old wounds.  EQUIPPING disciples to SERVE reflects our passion to stir saints to be doers of the Word.  Beyond "ought to" preaching, receive "how to" teaching.   Jesus saved us to serve in the greatest adventure.  Everyone is welcome and everyone is needed.

We all have the potential to improve ourselves and become better people. But how do we become who we need to be?
The answer is simple: by coming to know Jesus Christ on a personal level and studying His life and His attributes.

Whatever your situation in life, we believe Christ can be a source of strength. Connect with us on social media and see how being a part of our community can help you and your family.

The Book of Mormon is a powerful witness of Jesus Christ. It testifies of His birth, His ministry, His death, and His Resurrection. It reveals His character, His teachings, His miracles, and His covenants. It invites us to follow Him, to trust Him, and to become like Him.

This year, we invite you to study the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ with us and let the Savior change you for the better.

TruLight127 Ministries (Nonprofit )

TruLight127 Ministries is a vocal advocate for foster children. We want to be the voice for the voiceless and hope for the hopeless.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization which is contracted with and receives funding from the Department of Family and Protective Services for the purpose of licensing foster families and placing children in licensed homes.

We want to provide children with an environment that is full of love, nurture, support and structure. Thus, preventing them from becoming a statistic of hopelessness. We seek to do this by:

  • being their voice in a world that ignores them
  • supporting them with tangible services to meet their real needs
  • empowering them with the knowledge and self-esteem they need to pursue their dreams
  • supporting the families that care for them

Our program of supportive services adds a community component to our mission of foster placement. We will empower and equip individuals, communities, and churches to move in God’s call in James 1:27 to care for the orphans. By doing so, we can change the course of their lives to be a productive citizen of society full of hopes, dreams, and ambition to do more.
