St Paul’s Episcopal Church (Nonprofit / Christian )

Welcoming and nourishing all who search for God, in order to promote wholeness and growth.

Friendly - St.Paul’s seeks, greets, welcomes, and nurtures all who come, striving to know them by name.

Sacramental - Our worship and service are central to the Eucharistic life of St. Paul’s, acting as an outward expression of God’s love and grace.

Liturgical - We celebrate and honor the sacraments, using traditional rites of the church as expressed in The Book of Common Prayer.

Inclusive - We embrace and enter into relationship with all those whom God sends our way and actively reach out to the larger community.

Catholic - We are members of the great tradition of Christ’s One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, in all places and in all time. "We are Catholic, but not Roman; Evangelical, but not Protestant."

We are hunger fighters.

For nearly forty years, Our Lord’s Table food pantry, a fruitful partnership amongst St. Paul’s, the neighborhood, and the San Antonio Food Bank, has contributed to hunger relief for thousands of San Antonio’s most impoverished.

Our Lord’s Table is a direct connection of taking our experience of Christ in the Eucharist to serving him in the poor. Volunteers from the parish and the neighborhood gather twice a month at the church to distribute groceries to over one hundred families.

There is a continuing need for funds to purchase food from the San Antonio Food Bank for distribution to those with food insecurity in St. Paul’s immediate neighborhoods. If you can contribute to this hallmark ministry of St. Paul’s, please designate your gift to “Our Lord’s Table,” and the parish treasurer will acknowledge it. Your generosity and willingness to take action are critical to the continued success of this ministry.

Twice on Saturdays each month, Our Lord's Table Food Ministry serves as a San Antonio Food Bank partner food pantry for 150+ neighborhood families in great need.

Parishioners and community volunteers are encouraged to join us any Distribution Saturday; please arrive thirty minutes before doors open (around 8:30 am).

There are several ways to help, from assisting with checking families in, helping with loading groceries into family boxes, allowing them to pack their vehicles, or delivering packaged boxes for our home-bound clients.
