The SAGE Service Area aligns with the Eastside Promise Zone, including the Eastside Promise Neighborhood, Choice Neighborhood, and EastPoint. In this four-square-mile footprint, the two federal grant neighborhoods overlap.

SAGE’s Small Business Support Program (“SBS”) provides business support, access to educational opportunities, technical assistance, resources, and grant assistance to small businesses located in Eastside of San Antonio. The Program is specifically designed to meet the demands of small businesses (whether startup or growth-minded) that need targeted and tailored support.

The SAGE Service Area aligns with the Eastside Promise Zone, which includes the Eastside Promise Neighborhood and the Choice Neighborhood, and EastPoint, the four-square-mile footprint where the two federal grant neighborhoods overlap.

SAGE provides support and assistance in a manner tailored to business needs including:

• Referring participating small businesses to business development technical experts, peers, and mentors to assist them with any emerging improvement plans.
• Connecting business owners to resources and other grant opportunities that include funds for capital, façade improvement, capacity building, and casualty loss expenses. 
• Continuous follow up with participating small businesses to check in generally, understand preexisting or new challenges, and encourage progress towards goals.
