Texas Health Action (THA) is a community-informed 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to culturally affirming, quality health services in a safe and supportive environment with an expertise in serving LGBTQIA+ people and people impacted by HIV.
Since 2015, Texas Health Action has provided health services without stigma or judgment and has empowered the community through outreach and education.
Texas Health Action operates:
- Kind Clinic, which provides sexual health services through locations across Central Texas
- TeleKind, which provides sexual health services via virtual visits and at-home testing
- Waterloo Counseling Center, which provides behavioral health services in Austin.
With virtual visits, you can connect with your Kind Clinic medical professional from the convenience of your mobile device or computer.
Virtual visits are now available for initial appointments, follow-ups, prescription refills, and any sexual health care questions.

Kind Clinic offers free sexual health services in a safe and supportive environment regardless of race, creed, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, or ability to pay.
We offer the following free sexual health services:
- PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis)/ PEP access (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis)
- HIV Testing and Care
- STI Testing and Treatment
- General Wellness exams
- Medication Navigation and Access
- Gender Affirming Care
All Kind Clinic services are offered at no cost to you.
Your Patient Advocate will work with you to make sure you receive your medication at little to no cost.
We accept all major medical insurances. Whenever you use insurance to pay for your medication at one of our contract pharmacies, you are also helping cover the cost of services for other patients, including those without insurance.
