SAFIRE provides individuals with intellectual disabilities an environment in which to physically, socially, and independently grow beyond expectations.
SAFIRE is developing a community within a community where individuals with intellectual disabilities can live independently or with minimal supervision, a work environment that allows individuals to have a meaningful day, and a recreational area for both social and physical development.
Serves adults (18+) with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Fitness and Nutrition
Full gym with a variety of cardio machines, along with free weights. Group games, Sports, Recreational Activities.
Pre-Vocational
Continue focusing on skills: following directions, staying on task, develop social skills for employment. Resume building and job searches.
Continuing Education
Practical money skills, reading, and writing. Independent and group learning.
Community Outings
Attending hockey games, bowling, baseball games, Zoo, volunteering, Walmart, and the mall all while practicing the appropriate skills learned at SAFIRE.
This program is for adults (18+) with intellectual and development disabilities (IDD).
Must be able to function in a 1:8 ratio of staff to clients and participate in
small group games appropriately.
