Every day at community centers, high schools, middle schools, coffee shops, and local hangouts, San Antonio Youth for Christ (SAYFC) staff and volunteers meet with young people who need Jesus. We are rural and urban, and we are always about the message of Jesus.

YFC reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other like-minded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to prayer and the Word of God, passion for sharing the love of Christ and commitment to social involvement.

City Life is a holistic community based program that helps young people in our urban communities through building relationships with caring adult role models, teaching life skills, providing opportunities for positive peer group experiences, and sharing the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This is a rapidly growing ministry where we are reaching many of our youth who are repeatedly forgotten by society but never forgotten by God.

Parent Life reaches expectant and parenting teens and their children through intentional relationships with trained adults and community partnerships, empowering the teens to make good choices and encouraging them to further their education and move toward independent living and become life-long followers of Jesus Christ.

We are able to share God’s hope and love to a group of teenagers who desperately need Him. And that need makes them no different than us. All of us desperately need Him. That is why He came.

Who Are We? A group of forgiven followers who will do whatever it takes so that kids have a chance to know the love of the Father.

At YFC, it’s our aim to grow our ministry to unchurched students - to those in desperate need of the restorative love of Christ. We’ve established a variety of ways for individuals and organizations to join with us, because ministry to students is unique to every community.

We recognize that mentoring is a natural trait of SAYFC Volunteers. Making disciples is what you are called to do and you do it well. However, the moment we translate that to mentoring, some volunteers feel hesitant as they are unsure of expectations. In all honesty, it's as basic as being a friend, being faithful, being present and if you say you will, you will. Make an effort and connect with us to get trained and empowered to become a mentor to a youth in need of a friend.
