The Adult Case Management program addresses the root causes of poverty and instability by leveraging social work services to develop the life skills and support essential to strengthen and stabilize the family.
Services provide individuals with guidance and referrals to help them more effectively cope with complicated situations that decrease their quality of life.
Services are provided by social work interns.

Good Samaritan offers parent education programs through various programs, such as, Parents as Teachers, Raising Highly Capable Kids, Family Engagement events, and AVANCE parent education meetings. In addition, we collaborate with local partners who provide GED/education, career readiness, financial literacy, workforce training and Narcotics Anonymous meetings. Meetings and/or classes vary throughout the year and locations may be held in-person or virtual.

Youth often suffer from an absence of positive role models. Youth engage in lessons by the Search Institute's 40 Developmental Assets to promote important life skills and personal assets. Examples of personal assets include: honesty, integrity, achievement, motivation, school engagement, responsibility, planning and decision-making, sense of purpose, etc.

Obtaining a postsecondary education increases the odds of breaking the cycle of poverty. College and Career Readiness provides individual guidance to help students successfully transition from high school into postsecondary education (2-year, 4-year, or technical degree). Services offered include one-on-one advising, career exploration, college tours and application/financial aid guidance.

Good Sam has offered high quality child care since 1985. Our program offers children ages 18 months - 5 years old a nurturing and safe place to learn, grow, and thrive.

Provides a safe, fun learning environment where youth can explore their interests, find their creativity, and develop personally. Staff offer such services as homework assistance, educational group activities, team-building tasks, character development curricula, arts programs, STEM education, and field trips to keep youth learning in a safe, informal learning environment. Activities are designed to complement learning taking place during the school day.

The center serves seniors living on San Antonio’s west side with programs including health and nutrition classes, dance therapy sessions, and arts and crafts activities.
The Senior Center offers hot, nutritious lunches daily as part of its nutrition program.
Free health screenings are regularly available through a partnership with the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio.
Throughout the year, the Senior Center also hosts various holiday and cultural celebrations.
For many seniors living in the surrounding community, Good Sam fulfills a vital need, reducing social isolation and improving their quality of life.
