At Life Choices Medical Clinic, your health matters most—not just physically, but also emotionally, mentally, relationally, and spiritually.
We offer a variety of women’s healthcare services to best serve you, including sexual health evaluations, well woman screenings, and pregnancy care.
The Get FIT (Families in Training) program is a preventive program aimed at averting Type II diabetes, obesity, and sedentary lifestyles for school-aged children and their families.
The program is offered throughout the academic year at various school districts, and in the summer as a one-month youth summer camp. Get FIT integrates nutrition, physical fitness, and character education to not only support the physical needs of students and their families but also facilitate the healing of the mind, body, and spirit.
Get FIT's goal is to transform the lives of people in medically underserved, rural communities. The program focuses on actively engaging community members and stakeholders in the planning, designing, and delivery of services and programs that meet the unmet needs of their community.
Get FIT is currently offered in Batesville, Cotulla, San Antonio, Santa Rosa, and Uvalde. Enrollment is free and open year-round on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are interested in bringing Get FIT to your school or finding a program near you, call the Get FIT manager at 1-800-959-6673.

Women's Healthcare & Post Abortion Care:
Exams include a full check-up, which helps to detect and treat any new or ongoing health problems and to help prevent future problems.
Community Counselors help people who are uninsured, whose existing coverage does not provide mental health services benefits, are low-income and lack the money to pay for counseling services, or who would not receive treatment any other way. Counseling services are provided by trained, licensed professional counselors, licensed clinical social workers, and licensed marriage and family counselors. Sessions are private and conducted in a safe and familiar environment such as churches and community centers.
The first meeting with a counselor is free. A modest fee based on a sliding fee scale is collected for each follow-up session; however, no one is denied service because they cannot pay.
If you think you may be pregnant, we can help you know for sure with a free pregnancy test and/or free ultrasound.
Whether you’re confirming a pregnancy or coming for prenatal care, we offer free ultrasounds from licensed sonographers.
We provide informational classes to help you have a healthy pregnancy and/or learn good parenting skills.
Moms and dads who participate in the parenting program earn points that can be cashed in to get items for their baby.
We will assist you in applying for all Medicaid, Healthy Texas Women, Transportation assistance and many others to support your health. If you have been denied before we can help!
