Please join us for a half-day symposium for SACRD.org users.
The session will be held at Girl's Inc. of San Antonio, 2214 Basse Rd, on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 8:15 am to noon. A light breakfast and refreshments will be provided.
This session will be focused on how the resiliency and staying power of compassion can be a resource in the face of uncertain times. Funding changes, policies change, and programs start and end, but Compassion stays and we remain committed to the mission.
Community Conversation
This symposium will use the Community Conversation format.
We will start each topic with comments and discussion from a panel of Conversation Starters and then encourage attendees to converse in triads to share their own experiences and seek new insights into resiliency and keeping focus on our collective mission of compassion.

Summers in San Antonio are extremely hot and humid. Seniors living in homes without air conditioning or circulating air face a greater risk of heat-related injuries and fatalities during the summer.
Since 1997, the City of San Antonio (Human Services, Fire Department), Catholic Charities San Antonio, United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County, the Society of St Vincent de Paul, and community and corporate partners have collaborated to provide heat relief to seniors in need through donations and free distribution of 20-inch box fans.
